Well just flew back into scotland, dark at last and Jupiter in nice position
So dragged my 5inch scope out (8inch would take too long to cool) and added my x5 Teleview barlow and wow!!! stunningly clear views of jupiter, clear bands, 2 moons nearly touching the planet
Sadly the GRS (great red spot) still evades me as it behind the planet at the time....
Seems it will be in view tomorrow at 22:15 so hope for clear skies then.

Sounds Great and you may want to re-think selling the 120
as no SCT in history as ever been able to handle a X5 visually.

Hi All
Got better result last night at least got some detail on Jupiters disk so I will try to get filter on next time and see if this improves banding etc. Loving this Mintron Video cam though:) (have posted pic on dasoc.org.uk blog) _________________ Meade LX90 UHTC 8" SCT
