clearnight

Hi
I have been out for 2hours tonight and bagged jupiter and moons and several DSO's and ISS fly past at 21:15 almost came across Jupiter but entered darkness just beforeit did. I called the wife and kids they saw it from bedroom window.
Light Pollution terrible tonight from my garden so I will have to improvise some kind of screens to shield the worse. LP filter next to useless.

Anyway thats it for tonight.

Last night went to dark site with John and stayed till midnight. Another great night but dew formation a major problem for John as he forgot his dew shield. Still he managed to master goto and I'm sure he will get more out of his observing sessions just as I do now.

Anyway let's have more reports and keep up the good work.
regards

10:55 - brrrr its cold but just bagged M27 - ring nebular - wow

this time my 8' scope sitting on a stool (hey it was aligned with N Smile, and clearer views, could see slight red/blue tinges and a donut shape, though averted (not looking directly at it) did help see the missing center

tried for M2 - but no joy .... ? and too cold. Those of us without goto just have to star hop, but no mater where i look there are 1000s of star Smile

starting to cloud slightly. will call that a night but certainly we back in the starry season.

i did bag a jupiter with my trust wb-5400 webcam, 1024x1028 pixels - but poor focus and no cool down on scope - but bands visible in registax from 1000 images.
