Hi

A few days ago I wrote to Paul to say that..........

"I've just been re-reading the December issue of 'The Diary' prior to sending it to the re-cycling bin, and came across your astronomy club ad which I seem to have missed completely first time round.
My first thought was that it sounded like a great idea, but then I remembered that I'm not actually an astronomer - more of an occasional star-gazer.
I was interested enough in the subject to go along to a night class in astronomy about 5 years ago, and I have planispheres for both Northern and Southern hemispheres so that when I go on holiday I can check out what's shining in the sky above me, but despite the classes my knowledge is very, very limited and there are only a few constellations I can recognise unaided".

Paul quickly got back to me to invite me along to the next meeting and to reassure me that I'd be made welcome - so, if I can get out of the office on time, I hope to meet some of you on the 5th.

I'm looking forward to it!

Hi Katherine,
welcome to the group, we are all here to try to learn from each other, so you will feel quite at home! See you at the next meeting.
