Late JanuaryWalking home from Dalgety Bay rail halt one evening this week (Wednesday?) I was stopped in my tracks by the sight of brilliant Venus beside the waxing crescent moon. The moon itself was visible through a very thin layer of cloud, useless for close scrutiny but it lent an air of non-scientific drama to the whole picture. I hope others saw this - given the amount of street lighting in that area, it must have been stunning to view from a dark site.
