Lunar Eclipses 2008

Two lunar eclipses are predicted for 2008.
First, there's a total lunar eclipse on February 21st, which will be easily visible from here (weather permitting).

The second is a partial lunar eclipse on August 16th, just barely visible from here.

2 weeks

Lunar eclipses quite often happen 2 weeks before or after solar ones.
Look out for a partial lunar eclipse on Saturday evening.

Well, it was pretty much a bust down here as well - caught one brief glimpse at around 9pm - you could see the lower left quadrant of the moon was darker than the rest, but if you hadn't known it was an eclipse, you'd just have thought it was a patch of denser cloud!
