Rank systemI've added a rank system, which ranks members by the number of posts they've made.
Ranks are:
| 5+ | Asteroid |
| 10+ | Dwarf Planet |
| 20+ | Planet |
| 40+ | Star |
| 80+ | Galaxy |
| 160+ | Galaxy Cluster |
| 320+ | Supercluster |
Trouble is, now that I've done it, I'm not sure I like it.
Let me know what you think, and I'll keep it, change it or zap it.

RanksHi Bob,
The rank system is mainly a bit of fun, but on large mature forums it allows newcomers to quickly distinguish between veterans and other newcomers.
To quote the PhpBB-Design website:
| Quote: | | To classify its members by ranks is something currently very popular on phpBB forums. For certain people, it's a simple means to recognize visually the members of a particular group, be it administrators or moderators. For others, the ranks represent a reward obtained by the number of messages one has posted on a forum. |
On the KDE forum, for example, people can easily distinguish between dabblers (like me) and gurus.
In favour of ranks, you could say that they encourage active forum participation : against, it could be argued that they can be elitist.

Well, the polls have closed, and everyone who expressed a preference either wants the rank system changed or removed. I've kinda gone off it myself. So, bye bye for the time being at least to the ranks.
If there's an outcry, I'll open a new poll to re-enable them.
