Wigtownshire Astronomical Society are organizing a star camp from Thursday 12th to Wednesday 18th November 2009.

The location is a caravan/campsite called Drumroamin, about 60 miles south of Glasgow.

Full details of the event here.

Anyone fancy going?

Paul.

Hi Paul
Apparently the Wigtonshire A.S. are not now having anything to do with this camp. I called them and spoke to chairman who confused me with you and apparently has emailed you the contact details for the organisers.
Can you please share this info so we can make arrangements to attend?
Cheers
Cosmic

Hi Geoff,

Sorry about the delay - I've been on my travels.

Anyway, I have an e-mail from the W.A.S. who were organizing the event, and it seems they aren't any more.

The event itself is still on, though, and according the the email, there are still places.

It's now being handled by the Galloway Astronomy Centre. I haven't made my booking for Mrs H and myself yet, so I'll need to get a move on.

The new details are here.

Paul.

HI Paul
Thanks for that. I have just booked for Friday 13th and Sat 14 Nights. With pitch with electrics. Just me going though. The wife and kids staying at home. Can't wait.

Cosmic
